PrestaShop online shops & migration

Your business.
Your products.
Your PrestaShop.

Your product range has a character of its own. A PrestaShop should make it visible while making selection, ordering and management easier for customers and your team.

A shop for your daily work.
With room for your brand.

Products with variants need clear selection guidance; your team needs straightforward management. We plan categories, features, prices and ordering processes around your catalogue. Only then do we decide which modules and changes are necessary.

What we plan
and connect.

01 / COMPONENT

Products & presentation

We structure categories, features, variants and images. Navigation, filters and product pages are developed around real products. Price and delivery information should make choosing easier; internal data has clear owners.

02 / COMPONENT

Design & buying journey

Themes and page templates are adapted to your brand. We connect clear product selection with the basket and checkout. Mobile views, understandable inputs and visible error and confirmation states are part of the implementation.

03 / COMPONENT

Modules & operational connections

For payments, delivery, inventory management or other services, we assess suitable modules and APIs. Version compatibility, provenance, permissions, ongoing costs and support matter as much as the desired function.

A practical example

One specialist retailer. Many variants. Clear processes.

An example for a catalogue where customers choose a version, size or material and your team needs to process orders efficiently:

  1. 01

    Represent the catalogue

Products, combinations, features and categories are mapped. We check which differences need separate variants and which can remain product information.

  2. 02

    Enable ordering

Availability, payment methods and delivery rules are configured for the intended customer groups and delivery areas. Tests include rejected payments and missing information.

  3. 03

    Organise the work afterwards

Order status, notifications and transfers to other systems are coordinated. Master data sources and owners remain clear even in automated processes.

PLATFORM SELECTION

When does PrestaShop fit?

PrestaShop is an option when independent online retail is central and you want to organise design, extensions and operation deliberately. WooCommerce may suit content-focused WordPress projects. Those who prefer a hosted platform can also compare Shopify. Special B2B processes and complex integrations are assessed separately.

EXISTING SHOP

Take over & develop

We take on existing PrestaShop shops following an assessment. Version, theme, modules, bespoke changes and data quality determine the route. A major version jump is not automatically a simple update click: replacement functions, compatibility and data migration are tried in a test environment first.

Migration & Relaunch
Modules with a clear purpose

Add what helps.
Maintain what stays.

Each additional module brings a function and another dependency. We check existing options first and add selectively. Overlapping extensions, unclear licences and bespoke core changes make later updates harder.

For ongoing operation, we consider total costs: hosting, module fees, updates, tests, integrations and support for your team. A low initial price should not come at the expense of unclear recurring costs. If the existing setup has become too demanding, we compare modernisation and migration.

Assess the business case for a platform change
Publish & keep running

Launch is
a planned transition.

Before launch, product presentation, search, basket, payment, delivery and emails are tested using the agreed cases. These include abandoned payments, missing information and unavailable products. External services are included in suitable test modes.

For the switch, we clarify data synchronisation, backups, possible interruptions and a rollback. Product management and order processing are explained around your workflows at handover. Technical maintenance and further development each receive a clear scope.

How we work
Frequently asked questions

PrestaShop
in detail.

Is a PrestaShop shop free?

The open-source software alone is not a functioning business. Setup, design, hosting, paid modules, payment services and support can incur costs. We show these items separately for your scope and check recurring fees too.

Can we manage products and orders ourselves?

Yes. We configure tasks and permissions appropriately and guide your team through the agreed processes. Product management, order processing and technical configuration should be clearly separated.

Can data from another shop be migrated?

We check products, categories, variants, media and other required data. Customer accounts and order history need separate mapping. A trial import shows limitations and cleanup needs. Password or payment data is not automatically transferable.

Do you take on old PrestaShops with many modules?

After checking versions, modules and bespoke changes. Not every extension is available for the target version. We assess replacements, simpler processes and bespoke development before agreeing the implementation scope.

What does ongoing support include?

By agreement, this can include security updates, module and theme checks, backups, functional tests and troubleshooting. PrestaShop generally directs users to the current release for security fixes. The ability to update is therefore a key part of the operating plan.
