Magento & Adobe Commerce

Many products.
Complex processes.
One clear system.

A large catalogue is a strength when customers quickly find the right products and orders flow smoothly behind the scenes. We plan Magento or Adobe Commerce from the shopping experience through to integration.

Your shop follows
your business model.

With several brands or markets, customers should find the right offer while your team manages prices and stock reliably. We plan shared and local product data, store structure and ordering processes together, using representative products.

Magento Open Source
or Adobe Commerce?

OPEN SOURCE

The open-source foundation

Magento Open Source provides a shop with a catalogue, sales and a customisable storefront. Bespoke requirements are implemented through suitable extensions and development.

Infrastructure, maintenance and development need an agreed operating model. Open source does not mean implementation and operation are free of cost.

COMMERCIAL PRODUCT

Adobe Commerce

Adobe Commerce extends the possibilities within the commercial product range. Edition, deployment and additional services are clarified against your requirements.

Adobe Commerce B2B may be relevant for specific business customer processes. Features and licensing are explicitly checked; these functions are not automatically attributed to Magento Open Source.

Magento services

What we plan
and connect.

01 / COMPONENT

Catalogue & store structure

Product types, attributes, categories and different storefronts are planned as a connected model. A representative selection of real products shows early whether filters, variants and management work effectively.

02 / COMPONENT

Storefront & buying process

Navigation, search, product presentation and checkout are aligned with your audiences. We also consider error messages, unavailable products and moving between different offers.

03 / COMPONENT

ERP, PIM & other systems

We describe which system owns products, prices, stock and orders. Transfer direction, updating and error handling are explicitly defined. An integration needs traceable operation.

A practical example

One catalogue for several markets.

A retailer wants shared product data alongside different language versions and offers. This example shows which decisions belong together:

  1. 01

    Organise data

Master data, translations, categories and market-specific details are mapped. Missing values become visible before migration.

  2. 02

    Represent the rules

We clarify which products, prices and delivery terms apply to each storefront. Responsibilities are configured accordingly.

  3. 03

    Connect processes

Stock and orders are synchronised with the intended systems. Repeated transfers and error scenarios are tested.

PLATFORM SELECTION

When does Magento fit?

Magento is particularly useful when catalogue structure, multiple storefronts and bespoke commerce processes are central to the project. Product count alone is not enough reason. Development effort, infrastructure and ongoing maintenance must fit the plans.

EXISTING SHOP

Take over & develop

For an existing shop, we record the edition, version, extensions, theme, bespoke development and integrations. These determine the upgrade path and migration scope. Product, customer and order data are not migrated unchecked: we plan mapping, a trial and a controlled switch.

Migration & Relaunch
Publish & keep running

Launch is
a planned transition.

Before launch, product presentation, search, basket, payment, delivery and emails are tested using the agreed cases. These include abandoned payments, missing information and unavailable products. External services are included in suitable test modes.

For the switch, we clarify data synchronisation, backups, possible interruptions and a rollback. Product management and order processing are explained around your workflows at handover. Technical maintenance and further development each receive a clear scope.

How we work
Frequently asked questions

Magento
in detail.

Are Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce the same?

They share technical foundations but have different service and licensing models. Magento Open Source is the open-source version. Adobe Commerce is the commercial product with additional capabilities. We clarify the specific edition and required extensions before planning.

Are B2B functions automatically included?

No. Features such as company accounts, bespoke shared catalogues or negotiable quotes belong to Adobe Commerce B2B and require suitable setup and extensions. Corresponding requirements for Magento Open Source are assessed separately.

Can our existing inventory management system stay?

We assess that using available APIs and your data responsibilities. The shop does not automatically have to be the master system. Products, prices, stock and orders must be clearly assigned.

Who handles updates and hosting?

These tasks are agreed before launch. Development and test environments, security updates, backups, search, background processes and monitoring belong in the operating plan. The specific scope follows the chosen solution.
